i think it's safe to say that i'm officially "in a funk." today is day 3 of zombie-like tendencies. not cranky or in a bad mood...just anti-social and unhappy waiting for another day to end. maybe not having homework or much of a schedule yet has something to do with it...but i dont think having those things would make anything better. i'd like to do some reading but cant even focus on that. i just kinda float through the day passing time as quickly as possible. im not sure what it's all about. i am missing erica and that might have something to do with it all...it's looking like i might be meeting her in pittsburgh this weekend though, so maybe that will give me a little kick in the buttocks or something. but im just pretty emotionless right now. the most excited/happy i've gotten all week was when i found out last night that pedro and death cab are playing together in chicago. and even that wasnt the normal display of excitement. maybe i'm just ready for spring. pms is probably the most logical explanation.
my eyesight is getting worse and worse. maybe it's time for contacts. but we all know i'm too lazy for that.
i get headaches a lot too.
and i dont get enough sleep at night.
i need to get an oil change this afternoon.
i think i'd like to start writing more letters. im not sure what it is...but there's something about writing letters that is a lot more beautiful than any other form of communication. maybe its just this idealistic beauty that's in my head right now and as soon as i sit down to write a letter it will miserably fail..but..i do get a little tired of email sometimes. well, i dont get tired of email, but i think it's ashame that letters (now affectionately known as "snail-mail") have become a lost art. not that i really wrote letters to begin with. but thats not true, i did write to my sister every now and then when she first went to college...i'd have everyone in my class write a note to her even though she didnt really know any of them and then i would mail all of it to her. i wish i had a sweet little brother. ok, this entry is getting worse and worse as i go. anyway, i'm not making any guarantees, but if you're willing to try, than so am i:

did i mention that i also think that sending large checks in the mail is another lost art that should be revived? yes indeed.
