anyone know anything about rescuing music on an iPod that's acting funky? to be more specific, anyone know anything about rescuing music on an iPod that is 1) not being recognized by my computer and 2) telling me there are no music files on the device?
i'm feeling a bit nauseous at the moment...

I've never given any of your tricks a shot yet!! I've got the feeling it will consume a good bit of time, and so far, I haven't been convinced that I have a good bit of time to spend on iPod repair. But I'm definitely missing the music in our "big room," so it's about time...I'll keep you posted.
