I can't say it like I write it...I can't write it like I think it...I can't think it like I feel it...and I don't feel a thing.

You have the words of life.
I ran into these words as I read on the train yesterday. They struck me so strongly that I felt inspired to stand up and, in an act of freedom of expression and something resembling street art, write them in the foggy window with my finger. I didn't. I probably should have.
L'homme n'aboutit à rien par lui-même. Vers qui irions-nous?
He heard the words drag out. He felt them pull out of his mouth like freight cars, jangling, backing up on each other, grating to a halt, sliding, clinching back, jarring, and then suddenly stopping as roughly as they had begun. It was over. --Flannery O'Connor, "The Barber"
